“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word,
in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Old Suwanee Baptist Church has a strong emphasis on reaching the next generation for Christ. The youth ministry focuses on teens accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and then discipling them to live for Him and teach others also.

Leadership
Bro. Jared Butler became the youth pastor in August 2015. Bro. Butler graduated from Atlanta Baptist College with a Bachelor’s Degree in pastoral ministries and has been working with youth for several years. He also works in our school ministry teaching Bible, preaching chapel services, counseling, and coaching. His wife, Kimberly Butler, served as the church secretary from 2012 to 2019. She now serves as the financial secretary. She attended The Crown College of the Bible in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Butlers are part of a faithful team that is passionate about reaching youth for Christ.

Activities
A special youth meeting is held every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm in the fellowship hall. This provides teens with a time of Bible study and fellowship.

We also have a Sunday School class just for teen girls, and another for teen boys. These classes meet every Sunday morning at 10:00 am.
