“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word,
in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Old Suwanee Baptist Church has a strong emphasis on reaching the next generation for Christ. The youth ministry focuses on teens accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and then discipling them to live for Him and teach others also.

Leadership
Bro. Jared Butler became the youth pastor in August 2015. Bro. Butler graduated from Atlanta Baptist College with a Bachelor’s Degree in pastoral ministries and has been working with youth for over seven years. He also serves as the business administrator for our church and school. His wife, Kimberly Butler, has been serving as the pastor’s secretary since May 2012. She attended The Crown College of the Bible in Knoxville, Tennessee, and has been working with youth for the past three years. The Butlers are part of a faithful team that is passionate about reaching youth for Christ.

Activities
A special youth meeting is held every Wednesday evening at 7:00pm in the fellowship hall. This provides teens with a time of Bible study and fellowship.

We also have a Sunday School class just for teen girls, and another for teen boys. These classes meet every Sunday morning at 10:00am.
