Old Suwanee Baptist Church has a strong emphasis on reaching the next generation for Christ. The youth ministry focuses on teens accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and then discipling them to live for Him and teach others also.
Leadership
Bro. Joshua Hamby became the youth director in May 2025. Bro. Hamby graduated from Macedonia Baptist College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. He also works in our school ministry teaching Bible, preaching chapel services, and counseling. His wife, Allie Hamby, is a stay home mom to their beautiful baby girl, Adelyn. In addition to serving together in our youth group, they are both part of our music ministry and various other ministries.
Activities
Youth services are held every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM in the fellowship hall. This provides teens with a time of Bible study and fellowship.
We also have a Sunday School class just for teen girls, and another for teen boys. These classes meet every Sunday morning at 10:00 am.
Other activities include: monthly outings, T.A.C. meetings (Teens After Church) after some Sunday evening services, a great youth choir, and other activities!
