What to Expect

Feeling Welcome at Old Suwanee

We’re excited that you are considering joining us at Old Suwanee! Here’s a quick guide to help you feel comfortable and prepared for your first visit:

Warm Welcomes Await

Our church is passionate about making newcomers feel right at home. As you arrive, enter through the front doors and look for our welcoming team members stationed at the welcome desk. They’ll be happy to greet you with a smile, answer any questions you may have, and provide you with helpful information about our church.

Finding Your Seat

Feel free to come right in and take a seat wherever you feel comfortable in the auditorium. Our worship service is designed to be engaging and informative for all ages. Please be respectful of the sanctuary and refrain from bringing in food or open drink containers. Men should also remove their hats when entering the building.

Worshiping Together

Our service is a time to come together and glorify God through prayer, music, and a message from the Bible. We encourage everyone to participate in the singing – feel free to raise your voice or simply listen along! Our services typically last about one hour, beginning with congregational singing and special music, then finishing out with the preaching of God’s Word.

A Few Extra Tips

Here are some additional tips to make your first visit even smoother:

  • Dress code: While there is no set dress code, you’ll find that most of our members dress business or business casual. No matter how you dress, we strive to make you feel welcome. We just ask that you refrain from inappropriate or offensive clothing.
  • Children: We have a nursery available for children 2 years old and younger during the service.
  • What to bring: If you have a Bible, bring it! Our pastor preaches from the King James Version of the Bible at every service. You may also want to bring something to take notes, but we’ll have bulletins available that have a section just for taking notes as well.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our church family! Next, check out a short video about our church…
